Year-end accounts & annual reports in Uppsala — no panic in March.

Year-end accounts are prepared continuously through the year. We guide you through the whole process and draw up year-end accounts and annual reports under current rules. Careful work means the reporting is accurate and gives a clear picture of your company's results and financial position.

Year-end accounts vs annual report — the difference in 10 seconds.

The year-end accounts are the internal closing of the financial year. The annual report is the public document that a limited company (AB) files with Bolagsverket (the Swedish Companies Registration Office) — balance sheet, income statement, notes and directors' report. Sole traders (enskild firma) skip the annual report but prepare a simplified year-end statement as the basis for the NE-bilagan (the sole trader's tax return annex).

Digital filingTo Bolagsverket, with confirmation that everything is in.
K10 & tax returnThe owner's forms (K10, the dividend form) tie in with the year-end accounts — we handle them together.

A missed annual report costs from 7 500 kr.

The annual general meeting must be held within six months of the end of the financial year, and the annual report must reach Bolagsverket no later than one month after that. Miss it, and late-filing fees follow — and eventually, forced liquidation. We track the deadline automatically. That's our job, not yours.

Three steps to finished accounts.

01

We reconcile the year

For ongoing clients, most of it is already done. If you're coming from elsewhere, we collect your bookkeeping file.

02

You approve it

We go through the result together — in terms you understand — before anything is filed.

03

We file it

Digitally to Bolagsverket and Skatteverket (the Swedish Tax Agency), well ahead of time. You get the confirmation.

Common questions.

How much does help with year-end accounts cost?
Year-end accounts are included in the monthly package. A stand-alone year-end job is quoted after a consultation call.
Can you take on just the year-end accounts, without ongoing bookkeeping?
Yes. Contact us through our contact form and we'll get back to you within one business day.
How long does a year-end take?
With well-kept bookkeeping: a couple of weeks. With a year of chaos in a binder: longer — but we've seen worse, and sorted that too.
What is an annual report, and when is it due?
The annual report is the AB's public yearly report to Bolagsverket: balance sheet, income statement, notes and directors' report. The annual general meeting is held within six months of the end of the financial year, and the annual report must reach Bolagsverket no later than one month after that.
What's the difference between year-end accounts and an annual report?
The year-end accounts are the internal closing of the financial year — reconciliations and adjustments. The annual report is the public document drawn up from the year-end accounts and filed with Bolagsverket. Every company does year-end accounts; only an AB and certain other company forms do an annual report.
